BARAKO.
IS REVEALED.
Today, on International Coffee Day, BARAKO publicly reveals its logo for the first time.
The occasion marks the beginning of a public identity being developed around Philippine Liberica, origin, quality, traceability and the journey from the Philippines to the UAE.
Why reveal BARAKO today?
International Coffee Day is observed on 1 October and provides an occasion to recognize coffee and the people across the coffee sector.
For BARAKO, this date creates a natural starting point. The project has already begun through research, Philippine sourcing exploration, UAE roastery conversations, sample development and the development of a working standard.
The logo is the beginning, not the finish.
The BARAKO logo does not represent a finished story. It represents the identity of a project that is still being built.
The work ahead remains substantial: finding and documenting Philippine Liberica, understanding origin and traceability, working with professional roasting partners, testing the coffee, developing the product, and introducing the experience to the UAE.
The identity grows with it.
From Philippine origin to the UAE.
BARAKO is being developed around Philippine Liberica with particular interest in the heritage and origin associated with Kapeng Barako.
The project is exploring how this coffee can be represented responsibly in a new market without losing sight of where it comes from.
What BARAKO stands for
BARAKO is being built around four ideas:
Origin.
Know where the coffee comes from.
Quality.
Test it, evaluate it and improve it.
Experience.
Let people discover Philippine Liberica in different ways.
Community.
Let the people who genuinely connect with the coffee
shape what comes next.
A public beginning.
There is no claim here that BARAKO is finished. There is no claim that every specification has already been decided. There is no claim that the work is complete.
Instead, BARAKO is opening the door and documenting the journey as it develops.
Today, the logo is revealed.
The coffee journey continues.
